Together towards 2030
The Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a diverse set of 20 diseases with one thing in common: together they affect more than 1.5 billion people in the most neglected communities, with devastating health, social and economic consequences. Much progress has been made towards eliminating suffering caused by NTDs, since 2010 around 500 million fewer people are at risk. There is still much to be done to leave no one behind.
This year the WHO NTD Road Map will offer a plan to accelerate progress with countries, communities and people at the centre. In this series of blogs we ask those who have been working on these diseases for some time to share their stories of success and achievement so far.
